خَلِيفَةَ عِيسى مَع سَلِيل محمَّدٍ

خَلِيفَةَ عِيسى مَع سَلِيل محمَّدٍ

ولَستُ بأَكمَهٍ ولَستُ بِأبرَصَا

ولَستُ بأَكمَهٍ ولَستُ بِأبرَصَا

O successor of Jesus, alongside a scion of Muhammad,

The caliph Jesus with Muhammad's progeny

And I am not blind from birth, nor am I afflicted with leprosy.

I am neither mute nor leprous

لقد قالَها والقولُ مِثلُ فِعَالِه

لقد قالَها والقولُ مِثلُ فِعَالِه

تَربَّص فكلُّ المرءِ أَن يتَربَّصَا

تَربَّص فكلُّ المرءِ أَن يتَربَّصَا

He indeed said it, and his words are like his deeds:

He has spoken it, and his words match his deeds

Bide your time, for a person's whole being lies in waiting.

Wait, for all must wait

سأخلُقُ في الأسبوع شخصا سِوَاكُمُ

سأخلُقُ في الأسبوع شخصا سِوَاكُمُ

وشَخصِيةُ الإنسَان أَن يَتَشَخَّصَا

وشَخصِيةُ الإنسَان أَن يَتَشَخَّصَا

I shall create within a week a person other than you.

I will create someone unlike you next week

And a human being's personality lies in becoming a distinct individual.

A person's identity emerges as he asserts himself

وأبنِيكَ مَرصُوصَ البِناءِ تفضُّلاً

وأبنِيكَ مَرصُوصَ البِناءِ تفضُّلاً

وها أنا بُنيَانٌ لديكَ تَرصَّصَا

وها أنا بُنيَانٌ لديكَ تَرصَّصَا

And, as a favor, I shall build you into a solid edifice.

I will construct you, built solidly out of favor

And here I am before you, an edifice made solid.
