O chief whom we deem a subordinate,
O president, your subordinates despise you
Despite shoulders bearing the burnous.
Despite shoulders that carry the beret

O owl of ill omen and ruin, how long
Owl of ill omen and ruin, how far
Will you dwell in ruins and inhabited places?
Will you reside in ruins and dwell in woe

Hide your ill-omened face and fly away;
Hide your ill-omened face, and fly away
May God make your ill-omened face vanish.
May God make your cursed face disappear

The eye has never seen a vile chief
No eye has seen a despicable president
Like him; so curse the vile chief!
Like him, so curse the despicable president

Time's blunders are many and varied, and yet
The era's mistakes are many, but how
None like this loathed man's becoming a chief.
Has this despised one become president?

Wicked of soul, wicked by nature—in your expectations
Corrupt in spirit, corrupt in nature, you thought
You have failed; come, grasp Jupiter!
Go ahead, take the bribe

The All-Merciful will protect them all from you,
Soon the Merciful will protect them from you
And He—glory be to Him—will disgrace Iblis.
And humiliate the devil, glory be to Him

You will meet your recompense before long,
You will soon face retribution
When, after your expulsion, you hear 'Encore!'
When after being fired, you hear a hiss
