أيهاO الثُّقلاَءُthe bores باللَّهِfor God's sake فينَاconcerning us
أيها الثُّقلاَءُ باللَّهِ فينَا
إتقُواfear اللهَGod أيهَاO الثُّقَلاءُthe bores
إتقُوا اللهَ أيهَا الثُّقَلاءُ
O bores, for God's sake, in your dealings with us,
O heavy ones in God among us
Fear God, O bores!
Fear God, O heavy ones
إتقُواfear اللهَGod فيconcerning قلوبٍhearts ضِعافٍfrail
إتقُوا اللهَ في قلوبٍ ضِعافٍ
ماnot سَوَىexcept بُعدِكُمyour absence إليهَاto them دواءُa cure
ما سَوَى بُعدِكُم إليهَا دواءُ
Fear God concerning frail hearts,
Fear God in weak hearts
For them, there is no cure but your absence.
Nothing but your return to Him is the cure
إتقُواfear اللهGod فيconcerning عُيونٍeyes تَراكُمsee you
إتقُوا الله في عُيونٍ تَراكُم
أنتمُyou والعَمَىand blindness لَديهَاto them سواءُalike
أنتمُ والعَمَى لَديهَا سواءُ
Fear God concerning eyes that see you:
Fear God in eyes that see you
You and blindness are alike to them.
You and blindness are the same to them
