لَوif قَطرَةٌa drop مِنof دَمِهِhis blood
لَو قَطرَةٌ مِن دَمِهِ
سالتflowed فيinto ماءِthe water of النيلِthe Nile
سالت في ماءِ النيلِ
If a drop of his blood
flowed into the waters of the Nile,
لَثَقُلَتwould surely grow heavy دِمَاءُthe blood of أهpeople of (beginning of أهل)
لَثَقُلَت دِمَاءُ أه
لِpeople of (completion of أهل) مِصرَEgypt ألفَa thousand جِيلِgeneration
لِ مِصرَ ألفَ جِيلِ
heavy would grow the blood of the people
of Egypt for a thousand generations.
