قُلتُI said مَنwho ذاthis قالhe said إبنِيmy son
قُلتُ مَن ذا قال إبنِي
وهوَand he ليto me خيرُbest شَبِيهlikeness
وهوَ لي خيرُ شَبِيه
I said, “Who is this?” He said, “My son,
I said, who said my son?
and he is the best likeness of me.”
He is the best companion to me
قالhe said عَبدُservant of اللهGod لمَّاwhen
قال عَبدُ الله لمَّا
قلتُI said ماwhat إسمُname of النَّبيهthe bright one
قلتُ ما إسمُ النَّبيه
He said, “Abd Allah,” when
Abdullah said, when
I said, “What is the bright one's name?”
I said, what is the name of the prophet?
هوَhe عبدُservant of اللهGod حقًّاtruly
هوَ عبدُ الله حقًّا
وأناand I عبدُservant of أَبِيهhis father
وأنا عبدُ أَبِيه
He is truly God's servant,
He is truly Abdullah
and I am his father's servant.
And I am the servant of his father
