1. هل أقبَلَ الربيعُ في ازدِهارِ

    بزَهرِه مُفَتَّحَ الأَزهارِ

    Has spring arrived in bloom,

    With its blossoms, its flowers opened wide?

  2. لِذَا أرى الأنامَ في سُرورِ

    بل أقبَلت بشائِرُ الآماني

    Is that why I see humankind rejoicing?

    Rather, glad tidings of hopes have arrived,

  3. على الوَرى قَصِيُّها والدَّاني

    ونَثَرت أعلامُهَا التَّهاني

    For humankind, those far away and those near,

    And their banners have scattered congratulations.

  4. فكانَ يوماً ماله مِن ثانِ

    حينَ أتانا خَبَرُ الظَّهيرِ

    So it was a day without equal,

    When news of the royal decree reached us.

  5. قد حازَهُ حِلفُ العِصامي

    ونُخبَةُ الجَحاجِحِ الكِرامِ

    It had been obtained by the self-made man's ally,

    And the finest of noble chieftains,

  6. وبَهجةُ اللَّيالي والأيَّامِ

    مُحمدٌ نجلُ التهامي السَّامِي

    And the delight of nights and days—

    Muhammad, son of the exalted al-Tihami,

  7. مَن عصرُه تاجٌ على العُصورِ

    القائد المُهَذَّبُ الأدَيبُ

    Whose age is a crown upon the ages.

    The refined, cultured commander,

  8. يَكادُ مَن لَطافةٍ يَذوبُ

    والكلُّ في نَظرِهِ حَبيبُ

    He almost melts from gentleness,

    And everyone is beloved in his eyes.

  9. لِذاك قُدِّمت له القُلوبُ

    وحبُّه قد حلَّ في الصُّ

    For that reason, hearts were offered to him,

    And love for him has settled in the ... [text incomplete].

  10. كذاكَ حينَ قد أتاها الخَبرُ

    هامَ الورى بِحُبِّهِ واستَبشَروا

    Likewise, when the news had reached them,

    People were enraptured by love for him and rejoiced,

  11. وهَلَّلوا بمَدحِه وكبَّروا

    وبالدُّعاءِ والثَّناءِ عَطَّروا

    And they cheered in his praise and proclaimed God's greatness,

    And with prayer and praise they perfumed

  12. جلالةَ المُؤَيَّدِ المَنصورِ

    The majesty of the aided and victorious one.
