يا مَن تَديَّن وهوَ في

يا مَن تَديَّن وهوَ في

مَحضِ الحقيقةِ كافِر

مَحضِ الحقيقةِ كافِر

O you who have embraced religion, though in

plain truth you are an unbeliever;

ولِمَوطئٍ من حافِرٍ

ولِمَوطئٍ من حافِرٍ

بِه قد تسرَّعَ حَافِر

بِه قد تسرَّعَ حَافِر

and toward the imprint of a hoof,

a hoof has hurried you.

في نُور عَقلِك إِن تَسِر

في نُور عَقلِك إِن تَسِر

لا شكَّ أنّكَ ظَافِر

لا شكَّ أنّكَ ظَافِر

If you walk in the light of your reason,

no doubt you will prevail.

وإذا تضِلُ عنِ الهُدَى

وإذا تضِلُ عنِ الهُدَى

فاللهُ ربُّك غَافِر

فاللهُ ربُّك غَافِر

And if you stray from right guidance,

then God, your Lord, is forgiving.
