لَوif أنَّthat ظلَّهُhis shadow علَىupon
لَو أنَّ ظلَّهُ علَى
رأسِhead of مُصارِعٍa wrestler سَقَطfell
رأسِ مُصارِعٍ سَقَط
If his shadow upon
a wrestler's head should fall,
لَسُحِقَwould surely be crushed الرأسُthe head فَظِلُّهُfor his shadow
لَسُحِقَ الرأسُ فَظِلُّهُ
كَوَابُورِlike a steam engine الزَّلَطthe gravel
كَوَابُورِ الزَّلَط
the head would be crushed, for his shadow
is like a steamroller.
