بَشيرُa herald تَهانٍcongratulations بِخَيرٍwith goodness بَهاshone
بَشيرُ تَهانٍ بِخَيرٍ بَها
Congratulations on a wedding—joy has shone.
Congratulations on a wedding, happiness has shone
A herald of congratulations shone with goodness.
Giver of greetings with goodness it overflowed
بِعُرسٍat a wedding تَسَامىrose high عَلاَsoared إذwhen بدَتappeared
بِعُرسٍ تَسَامى عَلاَ إذ بدَت
تَهانٍcongratulations لباشاfor a pasha ندىًbounty يُزدَهَىis resplendent
تَهانٍ لباشا ندىً يُزدَهَى
At a wedding that rose high and soared, when there appeared
With a wedding towering as a star appeared
congratulations for a pasha, resplendent in bounty.
Greetings to the Pasha, his bounty ever grows
سرُورٌjoy عَلاrose قدindeed سمتascended نَجمَةٌa star
سرُورٌ عَلا قد سمت نَجمَةٌ
بخيرِwith goodness نَدىًbounty جُودُهhis generosity بالنُّهَىwith wisdom
بخيرِ نَدىً جُودُه بالنُّهَى
Joy rose; a star has indeed ascended,
Happiness atop ascended a star
with bountiful goodness—his generosity joined to wisdom.
With goodness ever-flowing, his kindness overflows
زهَاshone إذwhen بدَتappeared نَجمةُstar of سَيِّدٍa lord
زهَا إذ بدَت نَجمةُ سَيِّدٍ
بهاthrough it يُزدهَيhe glories بالنُّهَىin wisdom واللَّهَاand largesse
بها يُزدهَي بالنُّهَى واللَّهَا
He shone when a lord’s star appeared;
Shone as the star of the Master appeared
through it he glories in wisdom and largesse.
With it his bounty and joy ever grows
