رَئيسُ المجلسِ العلمِي تُوُفِّي

وَداهمَ فَجرَه ليلُ التخَفِّي

وَداهمَ فَجرَه ليلُ التخَفِّي

The head of the scholarly council has died.

And the night of concealment suddenly overtook his dawn.

فقل للشَّامِتينَ به جُزِيتُم

فقل للشَّامِتينَ به جُزِيتُم

جَزاءَ ذوي الشَّماتةِ والتَشَفِّي

جَزاءَ ذوي الشَّماتةِ والتَشَفِّي

So tell those who gloat over him: may you be requited

With the recompense of those who gloat and take spiteful pleasure.
