شَوقاً أَجَبتَ إلى وُقُوفِكَ في مِنًى

شَوقاً أَجَبتَ إلى وُقُوفِكَ في مِنًى

يأبَى سِوى أعماقِ قَلبكَ يَسكنا

يأبَى سِوى أعماقِ قَلبكَ يَسكنا

You heeded a longing to stand in Mina,

one that refuses to dwell anywhere but deep within your heart.

شَوقاً أجبتَ إلى زِيارةِ تُربةٍ

شَوقاً أجبتَ إلى زِيارةِ تُربةٍ

خُلِقَت لأَجلِ دَفينِها هذِي الدُّنَى

خُلِقَت لأَجلِ دَفينِها هذِي الدُّنَى

You heeded a longing to visit a tomb;

these worlds were created for the sake of the one buried there.

أللهُ أفعمَ بالهدَى والنُّورِ قل

أللهُ أفعمَ بالهدَى والنُّورِ قل

بكَ كُن بإدرَاك السعَادةِ مُوقِنا

بكَ كُن بإدرَاك السعَادةِ مُوقِنا

God has filled with guidance and light your

heart; be certain of attaining happiness.

واللهِ لا خابَ المُنَى فيما رجَو

واللهِ لا خابَ المُنَى فيما رجَو

تَ اللهَ لا واللهِ لا خابَ المُنَى

تَ اللهَ لا واللهِ لا خابَ المُنَى

By God, may your hopes not fail in what you have sought

from God; no, by God, may your hopes not fail.

إنِّي أودِّع مِنك قلباً صَادِقاً

إنِّي أودِّع مِنك قلباً صَادِقاً

حاشَاه ينسَانِي هُنَالك أَو هُنَا

حاشَاه ينسَانِي هُنَالك أَو هُنَا

I bid farewell to a sincere heart of yours,

a heart that would never forget me, there or here.

خَلَّفتَ خلفكَ خَيرَ خُلصَانِ تَنَا

خَلَّفتَ خلفكَ خَيرَ خُلصَانِ تَنَا

دَوا ربنا عَجِّل بِأوبتِهِ لنا

دَوا ربنا عَجِّل بِأوبتِهِ لنا

You left behind you the best of devoted friends, who called

to one another: 'Our Lord, hasten his return to us.'

والله أسألُ أن يُحيِطَك بالرِّعا

والله أسألُ أن يُحيِطَك بالرِّعا

ية أنتُم وَجَميعُ مَن مِنكُم دَنَا

ية أنتُم وَجَميعُ مَن مِنكُم دَنَا

And I ask God to surround you with

care—you and all who have drawn near to you.
