وَحينَand when غابَhe disappeared مرَّةًonce
وَحينَ غابَ مرَّةً
وصَفهُdescribed him بَلاغُa report
وصَفهُ بَلاغُ
And when he once disappeared,
a report described him
بأنَّهthat he was نظَّارةٌa pair of spectacles
بأنَّه نظَّارةٌ
وخلفهَاand behind them فرَاغُa void
وخلفهَا فرَاغُ
as a pair of spectacles,
and behind them, a void.
