And I have a just judge, who hears and sees,
My ruler's judgment is fair, he is all-hearing and all-seeing,
Who knows what lies within the soul, of secrets or whispered counsel.
Knowing what is hidden in the soul, whispered or private.

وتعلمُ أنيِّ ما سمَحتُ مخَافةً

ولكن إِلى يوم الأذانِ كما يُروَى
And you know that I showed leniency not out of fear,
And you know I have not acted so out of fear,
But only until the day of proclamation, as is recounted.
But until the day of the call to prayer, as the tale goes.
