ياO ربِّmy Lord أنتَYou رازقُprovider of العِبادِthe servants
يا ربِّ أنتَ رازقُ العِبادِ
جَميعهِمall of them منamong حاضِرٍa town-dweller وبادٍand a desert-dweller
جَميعهِم من حاضِرٍ وبادٍ
O my Lord, You are the Provider of Your servants,
O Lord, You are the Sustainer of all servants
All of them, town-dwellers and desert-dwellers alike.
Both present and absent
وقدand indeed جَعلتَYou have made رِزقَهُمtheir sustenance علىthrough يَدِthe hand of
وقد جَعلتَ رِزقَهُم على يَدِ
بَعضِهِمُsome of them بَعضٍothers بشكلٍin a manner سَرمَديeverlasting
بَعضِهِمُ بَعضٍ بشكلٍ سَرمَدي
And You have made their sustenance come through the hands
You have made their sustenance in the hands
Of one another, forevermore.
Of one another eternally
وكانَand was رِزقيmy sustenance آتياًcoming فَقَطَّعَهthen he cut it off
وكانَ رِزقي آتياً فَقَطَّعَه
بعضُهمُone of them عَمداًdeliberately وعَنيand from me مَنَعَهhe withheld it
بعضُهمُ عَمداً وعَني مَنَعَه
And my sustenance was on its way, then it was cut off
Yet my sustenance was cut off
Deliberately by one of them, who withheld it from me.
By some intentionally, who withheld it
فاقطَعso cut off إلهيmy God رِزقَهُhis sustenance كماjust as قَطَعhe cut off
فاقطَع إلهي رِزقَهُ كما قَطَع
رِزقيmy sustenance وشَتِّتand scatter شَملَهُhis household ولاand do not تَدَعspare
رِزقي وشَتِّت شَملَهُ ولا تَدَع
So cut off his sustenance, my God, just as he cut off
So cut off their sustenance as they cut mine
Mine; scatter his household, and do not spare him.
And scatter their unity, leaving none behind
أشهِرmake public فَضِيحَتَهُhis disgrace ماemphatic particle بينamong الوَرىhumankind
أشهِر فَضِيحَتَهُ ما بين الوَرى
حتىuntil يَصيرَhe becomes عِبرةًa cautionary example لِمنto whoever يَرىsees
حتى يَصيرَ عِبرةً لِمن يَرى
Make his disgrace known among humankind,
Expose their disgrace amongst all people
Until he becomes a cautionary example to whoever sees.
To become a lesson seen by those who perceive
رفعتُI have raised ياO مولايmy Master كفَّthe palm of الابتهالsupplication
رفعتُ يا مولاي كفَّ الابتهال
لَكَto You لِكَىso that يَموتَhe dies فيin أسوworst (probable reading) إحالcondition (probable reading)
لَكَ لِكَى يَموتَ في أسو إحال
O my Master, I have raised my palm in supplication
I raise my palms in plea to You my Master
To You, so that he may die in the worst condition.
That they may die in utter failure and disaster
رَبَّاهُO my Lord ياO جَبَّارُAlmighty يامُنتَقِمO Avenger
رَبَّاهُ يا جَبَّارُ يامُنتَقِم
بدَعَوةِof the supplication of المَظلومِthe wronged person أنتَYou أعلَمُknow best
بدَعَوةِ المَظلومِ أنتَ أعلَمُ
O my Lord, O Almighty, O Avenger,
O Almighty, O Avenger, nurture them
You know best the supplication of the wronged.
With the prayer of the oppressed, You know best
