أشمسَ الغربِ حقًّا ما سمِعنا

أشمسَ الغربِ حقًّا ما سمِعنا

بأنكَ قد سئِمتَ به الإقامَه

بأنكَ قد سئِمتَ به الإقامَه

O sun of the West, is what we have heard true—

O sun of the west, truly we have not heard

that you have grown weary of residing there,

That you are weary of dwelling there

وأنكَ قد عزمتَ على طُلُوعٍ

وأنكَ قد عزمتَ على طُلُوعٍ

إلى شرقٍ سمَوتَ به عَلامَه

إلى شرقٍ سمَوتَ به عَلامَه

and that you have resolved to rise

And that you have resolved to rise

toward an East where you have risen as a beacon?

To an east you have marked with a sign

لقد زَلزَلتَ مِنا كلَّ رُكنٍ

لقد زَلزَلتَ مِنا كلَّ رُكنٍ

بحَقِّ اللهِ لا تُقِمِ القِيامَه

بحَقِّ اللهِ لا تُقِمِ القِيامَه

You have indeed shaken every pillar within us;

Truly you have shaken every pillar in us

for God's sake, do not bring on the Resurrection.

By God's truth, do not resurrect the Day of Judgment
