رَبُّmaster of الندَىgenerosity والهُدَىand guidance والفضلِand virtue والحَسَبِand noble standing
رَبُّ الندَى والهُدَى والفضلِ والحَسَبِ
ومَنand the one whom ألوذُI seek refuge بهِin him فيin كلِّevery ماwhatever عَطبِperil
ومَن ألوذُ بهِ في كلِّ ما عَطبِ
Master of generosity, guidance, virtue, and noble standing,
My Lord of blessings and guidance, merit and nobility
And the one in whom I seek refuge in every peril:
In whom I take refuge in all troubles that afflict me
تُلجِيcompels الضرورَاتُnecessities فيin بعضِsome الأمورmatters إلَىto
تُلجِي الضرورَاتُ في بعضِ الأمور إلَى
فِعلِdoing الفتَىthe young man بعضَsome ماwhat يُخلُّcauses a breach بالأدبِof propriety
فِعلِ الفتَى بعضَ ما يُخلُّ بالأدبِ
In some matters, necessity compels
Necessities in some matters lead a lad
A young man to do some things that violate propriety.
To do what somewhat mars his propriety
