هذي قِصَصي رفعتُها عن حُزني

هذي قِصَصي رفعتُها عن حُزني

في حُبِّك لا عنِ الغَضا والحَزنِ

في حُبِّك لا عنِ الغَضا والحَزنِ

These are my petitions, which I have submitted about my grief

These are my stories I have raised above my sorrow

in loving you—not about the ghaḍā trees and rugged ground.

In love of you, not of rage and grief

وَقِّع كَرماً ببعضِ ما ترسُمهُ

وَقِّع كَرماً ببعضِ ما ترسُمهُ

للِعبدِ عليها يا مَلِيكَ الحُسنِ

للِعبدِ عليها يا مَلِيكَ الحُسنِ

Graciously endorse them with some of what you decree

Kindly sign with some of what you draw

for your servant, O sovereign of beauty.

For your slave upon it, O angel of beauty
