وَحقِّ الهَوى ما حُلتَ عَن عَهدكُم وَلا

وَحقِّ الهَوى ما حُلتَ عَن عَهدكُم وَلا

نَسِيتُكُمُ يوماً ولا أَنا بِالسَّالي

نَسِيتُكُمُ يوماً ولا أَنا بِالسَّالي

By the sanctity of love, you have not swerved from your covenant, nor

By right of love, you have not failed your pact, nor

have I forgotten you a single day, nor am I one to forget.

Have I forgotten you a day, nor am I grown weary.

وَإِنِّي لأَدعو اللهَ جَهدي وَطاقَتي

وَإِنِّي لأَدعو اللهَ جَهدي وَطاقَتي

يَبلُّ غَليلي من لِقاكُم وَبلبَالي

يَبلُّ غَليلي من لِقاكُم وَبلبَالي

And indeed I pray to God with all my effort and strength,

And I do call on God with all my strength and might

that He quench my burning thirst and soothe my anguish through meeting you.

To end my torment by your company and my unrest.
