باللهby God بِسحرby the magic of مُقلَتِكَyour eye النَّشوَىintoxicated
بالله بِسحر مُقلَتِكَ النَّشوَى
وهُوَand it is القَسَمُthe oath البَرُّrighteous العظيمُmighty الَفتوَىthe legal ruling
وهُوَ القَسَمُ البَرُّ العظيمُ الَفتوَى
By God, by the magic of your intoxicated eye—
By God, by the magic of your languishing eyes,
And it is the righteous oath, mighty in its ruling—
The greatest, most righteous oath,
لاdo not تَسمعheed عنِّيabout me قولَthe words of مَنwhoever قالَsaid سلاhe forgot
لا تَسمع عنِّي قولَ مَن قالَ سلا
فيin ثَغرِكَyour mouth مِنfrom أينَwhere منهُfrom it السَّلوىforgetfulness
في ثَغرِكَ مِن أينَ منهُ السَّلوى
Do not heed anyone who says of me, 'He has forgotten';
Do not listen to what others say,
As for your mouth—how could forgetfulness come from it?
From your lips comes nothing but purity.
