A full moon defiantly alights in every mansion
A full moon that sheds light at every stop,
where he dwells, whenever he ties his robe’s cord.
Shining wherever its cloth is fastened.

بدعاً فُقُلتُ لقلبي أُمَّهُ فَأبى
His mole has suffused him with beauty and made him
Its beauty encompasses it entirely, making it
a marvel; so I told my heart, “Seek him,” but it refused.
A marvel. I said to my heart, "Her mother," but it refused,

And I'll never be a reason for the pains of love."

نَحسٌ وحسبُكَ بدرٌ قارنَ الذَّنبا
And what use to me is a full moon never forsaken
Of what use is a moon that misfortune never leaves,
by ill fortune? A full moon conjoined with the Tail is enough for you.”
And it's enough for you, a moon joined with guilt.
