    Cloud-water, wine, and the cup,

and the dove's young has sung out in the arak tree.

And the garden is moist with dew; never does

the east wind play with its blossoms without fragrance wafting.

blushes, while the daisy's mouth has opened.

a drenching of pure water, as requested.

the lightning gilds with its radiance whenever it flashes.

when Quzah shot arrows from his bow.

without its answering with delight and joy.

gently, while water tames whatever in it runs wild.

A blessing embracing all—what heart has not grown glad?

lies the gulf between breaking its seal and sorrow.

One with dusky lips bears it round; his waist

has girdled itself with frailty, even before the sash.

A moon over whom my eyelid and slumber have fought,

yet my body and sickness have made peace.

in face, and like a gazelle in neck when it comes into view.
