She came to bid me farewell, her figure swaying as if drunk,
She came to bid me farewell, overflowing with passion
Weeping tears that flowed like the tide.
Weeping with tears pouring like a flood
لَكِنbut دَمعُهاher tears مُنصَبِغٌtinted بِخَدِّهاby her cheek

But her tears were tinted by her cheek,
Yet her tears were tainted on her cheek
Whereas my crimson tears had already stained my cheek.
For the redness of my tears had stained my own cheek
