لهاshe has حاجبٌan eyebrow كالقوسِlike a bow بالسَّهمِwith the arrow مقرونُpaired
لها حاجبٌ كالقوسِ بالسَّهمِ مقرونُ
I fell in love with her, radiant, sweeter than wishes.
I fell in love with Zahraa, sweeter than wishes come true,
She has an eyebrow like a bow, paired with an arrow.
With eyebrows like a bow with arrows strung.
تقولُshe says إذاwhenever ماemphatic particle رمتُI sought منهاfrom her وصالَهاunion with her
تقولُ إذا ما رمتُ منها وصالَها
أناI ماnot أناI ليلىLayla بلاyes indeed (apparently بلى) أنتَyou مجنونُMajnun; mad
أنا ما أنا ليلى بلا أنتَ مجنونُ
