O Cairo of al-Mu‘izz, in you I have a fawn.
O vanquisher of the honored, in you I have joy
He has been granted whatever beauty he desired.
You were given all the beauty that was desired
مِنfrom أَينَwhere لِغَيرِهِfor someone other than him سَناradiance بَهجَتِهِhis splendor
ماnot أَحسَبُهُI consider him إِلاَّexcept مَعَwith الحُورِthe houris نَشاhe grew up
Where could anyone else find the radiance of his splendor?
Whence could another have the same felicity?
I can only think he grew up among the houris.
I reckon it only with the Houri in Paradise
