بِالروح أَفدى حَبيبا كان يَمنَحُني
وِصالَهunion with him حينَwhen كانَwas الحُبlove مُستَتِراconcealed
وِصالَه حينَ كانَ الحُب مُستَتِرا
With my soul I would ransom a beloved who used to grant me
With spirit I have ransomed a beloved who would grant me
union with him when love was concealed.

وَحينَ باحَت بِوُدّي أَدمع هملت
