ألاListen! أَبلِغtell أَبَاthe father of إسحَاقَIshaq أَنِّىthat I
رَأَيتُI saw البُلقَthe piebald horses دُهماًblack مُصمَتَاتِuniformly colored
Listen! Tell Abu Ishaq that I
Shall I not inform Abu Ishaq that I
Saw the piebald horses, solid black.
Saw the owls gloomy and silent
كَفَرتُI rejected بِوَحيِكُمyour revelation وَجَعَلتُand I made نَذراًa vow
عَلىّbinding upon me قِتَالَكُمfighting you حَتّىuntil المُمَاتِdeath
I rejected your revelation and made a vow
I disbelieved your revelation and made a vow
Binding me to fight you until death.
To fight you until death
أرىI make see عَينَىَّmy two eyes مَاwhat لَمdid not تَرأَيَاهُthey both see it
كِلاَنَاboth of us عَالِمٌknowledgeable بِالتُّرَّهَاتِabout nonsense
I make my eyes see what they have not seen;
I see what my eyes have not seen before
Both of us are familiar with such nonsense.
Both of us know the delusions
إِذاwhen قَالُواthey speak أَقُولُI say لَهُمto them كَذَبتُمyou have lied
وَإِنand if خَرَجُواthey march out لَبِستُI put on لهمto face them أَدَاتىmy battle gear
When they speak, I tell them, "You have lied."
When they speak, I say to them you lied
And if they march out, I don my battle gear to face them.
And if they come out, I will wear my weapons for them
