Bishr called upon the Most Merciful, who responded

to his prayer and gave us rain from the clouds.

And Bishr’s prayer was a downpour of rain

by which life is sustained, and which revives whatever it touches.

Radiant—through his face, rain is granted and life restored,

and by his radiant brow we dispel the mist.
