قل لابن جابرَ الذي جعلَ اللهُ

قل لابن جابرَ الذي جعلَ اللهُ

له كلّ خَلَّةً قذِرَهْ

له كلّ خَلَّةً قذِرَهْ

Say to Ibn Jabir, for whom God has made

Tell the son of Jabir, whom God made

every trait filthy:

Every despicable trait his own,

الجنُّ نارٌ والإنسُ من حَمَإٍ

الجنُّ نارٌ والإنسُ من حَمَإٍ

فأنتَ لِمْ خُلقتَ من عَذِرَهْ

فأنتَ لِمْ خُلقتَ من عَذِرَهْ

The jinn are fire, and humankind is from black mud;

Jinn are fire and humans clay-

So you—why were you created from excrement?

For what purpose were you fashioned from dung?
