أبكى لأنْ يتقاربْ الميعادُ
I did not weep because youth had departed, but rather
I do not weep because youth has departed
I weep because the appointed time draws near.
But I weep because the time of departure draws near

The branches dry up in its wake.
The branches above its traces dry up
