خاطباً بالبسيط أو بالنشيدِ
Mirth has given you in marriage, O daughter of the grape cluster,
to a suitor, with basīṭ verse or song.
وتمامand the completion of الإملاكِthe marriage contract فيin شاهدَىْtwo witnesses of عَدbeginning of عَدْلٍ: uprightness
وتمام الإملاكِ في شاهدَىْ عَد
لٍcompletion of عَدْلٍ: uprightness هماthe two of them فيin حضورa gathering يسودُsurpasses كلَّall العقودِthe marriage contracts
لٍ هما في حضور يسودُ كلَّ العقودِ
And the marriage contract is completed by two upright witnesses,
both at a gathering that outshines every wedding.
