ولاand no خيرgood فيin شكوىcomplaint إلىto غيرother than مشتكىa proper hearer of complaints
ولا خير في شكوى إلى غير مشتكى
ولابدand there is no escape منfrom سلوىsolace إذاif لمnot يكنthere is صبرُpatience
ولابد من سلوى إذا لم يكن صبرُ
And no good comes of complaining to anyone but the proper hearer of complaints.
No benefit is there in complaining to other than the complained to,
And solace is necessary if there is no patience.
And patience must come, if there is no patient endurance.
