    O ignorant ones, take heed: know and be certain

    that love is the joy of the worlds,

    the sustenance of souls, their serenity and their bliss,

    the light of existence, the happiness of humankind.

    And its enemy and the one who shuns it, in the eyes of one

    who knows what is right, are worse than a devil.

    اما الخلىُّ احطُّ من حَيَوَانِ

    Whoever has tasted it knows life and its secret;

    but the loveless one is lower than an animal.
