قلّدتني منناً تعذَّر وصفُها

قلّدتني منناً تعذَّر وصفُها

ولذاك أصمت إذ أراك وأخجلُ

ولذاك أصمت إذ أراك وأخجلُ

You have adorned me with favors beyond description.

You bestowed upon me a favor beyond description,

And so I fall silent when I see you, and am abashed.

فلأَنت تفعلُ ما تقولُ ولم اجد

فلأَنت تفعلُ ما تقولُ ولم اجد

عند الحقيقة من يقولُ ويفعلُ

عند الحقيقة من يقولُ ويفعلُ

For you indeed do what you say, and I have not found

For you do what you say, while I have not found

In truth, anyone who speaks and acts.

One who says and does when truth is laid bare.
