مَن يسل يَعط وَمن يُستَفتح ال

مَن يسل يَعط وَمن يُستَفتح ال

باب يَفتَحهُ بَطيءُ او سَريع

باب يَفتَحهُ بَطيءُ او سَريع

Whoever asks is given; and whoever seeks to have the

Who asks receives, and he who knocks -

door opened will have it opened by someone slow or swift.

The door is opened, be it swift or slow.

وَسل الناسُ بِما تَجهَلَه

وَسل الناسُ بِما تَجهَلَه

وَاِستَمِع إِن اِخا اللُب سَميع

وَاِستَمِع إِن اِخا اللُب سَميع

And ask people about what you do not know,

People ask for what they do not know,

and listen: indeed, one endowed with understanding is a good listener.

So listen, for the heart's core is not deaf.
