كَمmany مِنof فَتىa young man تَحمدis praised أَخلاقُهhis character
كَم مِن فَتى تَحمد أَخلاقُه
وَبِسكنand dwell (probable intended reading) العافونَthose seeking bounty فيin ذمتهhis protection
وَبِسكن العافونَ في ذمته
Many a young man's character is praised,
How many a youth whose morals you praise
And those seeking bounty dwell under his protection.
And you think integrity resides in his conscience
