Before you are the beautiful women of every land:

Behold the beauties in every land,

look how they have lived for their appetites.

والرجال الرجال أعماهم الطي

والرجال الرجال أعماهم الطي

ن فتاهوا في عالم الظلمات

ن فتاهوا في عالم الظلمات

And men—men blinded by cl—

And men—men!—clay has blinded them,

—ay—went astray in the world of appetites.

so they wandered lost in the world of darkness.

وإذا شئت أن تكوني ابنة الطي

ن فلا تطفىء سراج وجودي

And if you wish to be a daughter of cl—

So let people dream of tem—

—pests, and go with me into the life of stillness.

وتعالى فبادليني صفائي

وعن الصبر والرضا حدثيني

وعن الصبر والرضا حدثيني

Come, then, and share serenity with me;

And come, answer my serenity with your own,

speak to me of patience and contentment.
