حتى استغثنَ بأهلِ الملحِ ضاحيةً

يَركُضْنَ ، قَد قَلِقَتْ عَقدُ الأطانيبِ

يَركُضْنَ ، قَد قَلِقَتْ عَقدُ الأطانيبِ

Until they cried to the people of al-Milḥ for help in the open,

Running, with the knots of the cords already loosened.
