كأَنَّ النّعامَ باضَ فَوقَ رُؤوسِهِم

كأَنَّ النّعامَ باضَ فَوقَ رُؤوسِهِم

إلى الموتِ بَرقٌ ، مِن تِهامةَ ، لامعُ

إلى الموتِ بَرقٌ ، مِن تِهامةَ ، لامعُ

As though ostriches had laid eggs upon their heads;

Toward death—a gleaming flash of lightning from Tihamah.
