وزَيدُand Zayd الخَيلِthe horses (al-Khayl) قدindeed لاقَىencountered صِفاداa fetter
وزَيدُ الخَيلِ قد لاقَى صِفادا
يَعَضُّbites بساعدٍinto a forearm ، وبعَظمِand into the bone of ساقِa shin
يَعَضُّ بساعدٍ ، وبعَظمِ ساقِ
And Zayd of the Horses has met with a fetter—
And Zayd al-Khayl has encountered a fetter
biting into an arm and the bone of a shin.
That bites into a forearm and a shinbone.
