بِالنَصر عامك يا سَعيد بَشيرُ

بِالنَصر عامك يا سَعيد بَشيرُ

وَلمصر بِالإِقبال مِنكَ يُشيرُ

وَلمصر بِالإِقبال مِنكَ يُشيرُ

Your year, O Sa‘id, is a herald of victory,

With victory, your year, O Sa'id the harbinger

and points to prosperity for Egypt through you.

And for Egypt, progress from you it portends

فَلَقَد بَنيت لَها بِحزمك في العُلا

فَلَقَد بَنيت لَها بِحزمك في العُلا

حُصناً مَنيعاً خصمه مَدحور

حُصناً مَنيعاً خصمه مَدحور

For you have built for her, with your resolve, on high

For you have built for her with your resolve on high

an impregnable fortress whose foe is routed.

A fortress impregnable, her foe in retreat

وَحفظتها بِشَهامة وَعَساكر

وَحفظتها بِشَهامة وَعَساكر

مِن حَولِها فَوق الجِياد تَمور

مِن حَولِها فَوق الجِياد تَمور

And you have protected her with gallantry and troops

And you have guarded her with valor and your armies

surging all around her upon steeds.

Around her, above the steeds they seethe

وَلَها رفعت دَعائم العَدل الَّذي

وَلَها رفعت دَعائم العَدل الَّذي

هُوَ في الرَعية دائِماً مَنشور

هُوَ في الرَعية دائِماً مَنشور

And for her you have raised the pillars of justice, which

And for her you have raised the pillars of justice

is ever spread among the subjects.

Which for the people is always unfurled

فَاِنشُر بِها أَعلام دَولتك الَّتي

فَاِنشُر بِها أَعلام دَولتك الَّتي

ما حازَها ملك سِواك خَطير

ما حازَها ملك سِواك خَطير

So unfurl in her the banners of your realm, which

So unfurl through her the banners of your state

no mighty king besides you has possessed.

Which no grave king but you has gained

وَاسلم لَها طُول الزَمان فَرَوضُها

وَاسلم لَها طُول الزَمان فَرَوضُها

بِمياه برِّك يا عَزيز نَضير

بِمياه برِّك يا عَزيز نَضير

And may you remain safe for her for all time, for her garden

And bestow upon her the length of time’s duties

is verdant with the waters of your bounty, O mighty one.

With your blessings’ waters, O mighty peer

ما قالَ مَجدي حَيث أَرخ عاجِلاً

ما قالَ مَجدي حَيث أَرخ عاجِلاً

بِالنَصر عامك يا سَعيد بَشير

بِالنَصر عامك يا سَعيد بَشير

So long as Majdi says, promptly recording the date:

Thus spoke Majdi hastening to record

Your year, O Sa‘id, is a herald of victory.

With victory, your year, O Sa’id the harbinger
