So do not ask about my longing at the hour of departure;
Do not ask strangers about my love,
For my heart melted only because you were far away.
For my heart melts only at the thought of you.

You journeyed from us to the abode of kings; so none
You went to the royal court on our behalf,
Of us do you see in the realm but your loyal followers.
And none in this sanctuary are loyal save your own.

May you remain forever the pillar of glory, at peace,
And may the one who hates you die of rage at what you have been granted.
While your envier perishes in bitterness and spite!
