لَما صَفا زَمَن الهَنا

لَما صَفا زَمَن الهَنا

وَعَلى خَليل قَد عطفْ

وَعَلى خَليل قَد عطفْ

When the time of joy grew serene,

When the time of joy arrived

And had shown favor to Khalil,

And the friend showed kindness

وَنشا له النجل الَّذي

وَنشا له النجل الَّذي

بِالحُسن في المَهد اِتصَف

بِالحُسن في المَهد اِتصَف

And a son was born to him, who

And was granted the son

Was graced with beauty in the cradle,

Who in the cradle was marked by beauty

أَرخت جاءَ محمد

أَرخت جاءَ محمد

كَالشَمس يَزهو في الشرف

كَالشَمس يَزهو في الشرف

I recorded the date: Muhammad has come,

I hoped Muhammad would come

Like the sun, shining in honor.

Like the shining sun, exalted in honor
