الصادق الوَعد الإِمام الأَوحدِ
Sweet is the praise of the most glorious, valiant one,
Praise befitting the valiant imam most glorious,
True to his promise, the peerless imam,
The truthful of promise, the peerless guiding light,
لَيثa lion الشَرىthe thicket غَيثlife-giving rain الوَرىhumankind عاليlofty الذُرىthe summits
لَيث الشَرى غَيث الوَرى عالي الذُرى
سُلطانsultan تونسTunis كَهفrefuge كُلevery موحدmonotheist
سُلطان تونس كَهف كُل موحد
Lion of the thicket, rain for humankind, lofty of summit,
Lion of combat, rain of the land, lofty of pedigree,
Sultan of Tunis, refuge of every monotheist,
Ruler of Tunis, refuge for every steadfast soul.
محييreviver بَنيthe sons of حَفصHafs بهمةwith the determination of حازمٍa resolute man
محيي بَني حَفص بهمة حازمٍ
صَعبunyielding الشَكيمةthe bridle's bit قامعsubduer للمعتديof the aggressor
صَعب الشَكيمة قامع للمعتدي
Reviver of the sons of Hafs, with the determination of a resolute man,
Reviver of Banu Hafs with resolute ambition,
Unyielding to the bit, subduer of the aggressor,
Stern of will, subduer of the aggressor,
