سَعيد العلا أَحيا رُسوم المَراحمِ

بذكر أَبيه الصَدر ماضي العَزائمِ

Sa'id of lofty glory revived the traditions of mercy,

Sa'id Al A'la revived the traditions of compassion

by commemorating his father, the leader of unyielding resolve.

By mentioning his father Al Sadr, resolute in determination

وَجدّد لما قامَ بِالأَمر موسماً

وَجدّد لما قامَ بِالأَمر موسماً

لحضرته مِن فَيض بَحر المَكارم

لحضرته مِن فَيض بَحر المَكارم

And when he took charge of affairs, he renewed a festival

And he renewed for the authority a season

in his honor, from the overflow of the sea of generosity.

Of abundance from the sea of generosity

وَخلد طُول الدَهر آثاره الَّتي

وَخلد طُول الدَهر آثاره الَّتي

بِها سادَ في جَنات أَرحم راحم

بِها سادَ في جَنات أَرحم راحم

And immortalized throughout the ages his deeds,

And immortalized throughout ages his traces

through which he won eminence in the gardens of the most merciful of all who show mercy.

By which he excelled in the gardens of the most compassionate

فَأَصبح عَنهُ راضِياً في ضَريحه

فَأَصبح عَنهُ راضِياً في ضَريحه

لَهُ قاضِياً بِالسَبق عِندَ التحاكم

لَهُ قاضِياً بِالسَبق عِندَ التحاكم

Thus, in his tomb, he became pleased with him,

So he rests satisfied in his tomb

awarding him precedence when judgment is sought.

With him as judge preceding in arbitration

وَقالَت لَنا عَلياه في مصر أَرّخوا

وَقالَت لَنا عَلياه في مصر أَرّخوا

بِعَدل سَعيد حل خَير المَواسم

بِعَدل سَعيد حل خَير المَواسم

And his lofty glory said to us in Egypt: 'Record the date:

And Alia told us in Egypt record

Through Sa'id's justice, the finest of festivals has arrived.'
