    وَتلك بروج حولَها الأَسد حلَّتِ

    Rising stars of good fortune in towers of crescent moons;

And those are towers around which the lions have settled.

Towers al-Dawari built, which have come

to rival splendor among the fortunate fortresses.

So, how splendid those buildings are! They have indeed risen high

through a chief of chiefs from a most illustrious clan:

A valiant man, ally of justice, benevolence, and fidelity,

A king of deep-rooted glory, unflinching in resolve.

So may this al-Dawari ever be supported

with victory, success, and the loftiest sovereignty.

And may he ever rise among humankind through high aspiration

and firmness, and excellent, sound judgments.

And may the mouth of kingship never cease proclaiming this chronogram:

“Sa'id built for the army the safest fortress.”
