يا بَدر حُسنٍ في سَما عرفانِ
رفقاًbe gentle بَصبٍّwith a lovesick lover فيin جَمالكyour beauty فانيperishing
رفقاً بَصبٍّ في جَمالك فاني
O full moon of beauty in the sky of knowledge,
O full moon of beauty in the sky of gnosis
Be gentle with a lovesick lover consumed by your beauty.
Gently pour your perfection on one lost in your beauty
وَاعطفand show kindness عَلَيهِto him بِزورةwith a visit يَحياhe lives بِهاthrough it
وَاعطف عَلَيهِ بِزورة يَحيا بِها
وَاغنمand reap عَظيمَgreat الأَجرthe reward وَالإِحسانand favor
وَاغنم عَظيمَ الأَجر وَالإِحسان
And show him kindness with a visit that brings him to life,
Take pity and let him live by your delightful glance
And reap great reward and favor.
And gain immense reward and benefaction
