محمدٌ أَنتَ في ذا الحَج مَأجورُ

محمدٌ أَنتَ في ذا الحَج مَأجورُ

وَسَعيك الآن مَحمودٌ وَمَشكورُ

وَسَعيك الآن مَحمودٌ وَمَشكورُ

Muhammad, you are rewarded for this pilgrimage.

Mohammed, you are rewarded in this pilgrimage

And your striving is now praised and appreciated.

And your effort now is praised and appreciated

وَاللَه بلّغك المَأمول حَيث علا

وَاللَه بلّغك المَأمول حَيث علا

وَعمّ وَجهَك نُورٌ فَوقه نُور

وَعمّ وَجهَك نُورٌ فَوقه نُور

And God brought you to your hoped-for goal, lofty as it was;

And God has granted you what you wished for when you rose

And light bathed your face, with light upon light.

And light upon light shines on your face

وَنلت عِندَ مِنى كُل المُنى وَرضي

وَنلت عِندَ مِنى كُل المُنى وَرضي

عَنكَ الإِلَه فَأَنتَ اليَوم مَسرور

عَنكَ الإِلَه فَأَنتَ اليَوم مَسرور

And at Mina you attained every wish, and found favor

And you got all you wished for in Mina and pleased

With God; so today you are joyful.

Is God with you, so you are today delighted

وَفُرِّجَ الكربُ عَن مَصرٍ وَساكنها

وَفُرِّجَ الكربُ عَن مَصرٍ وَساكنها

لَما دَعَوت وَسَيف الجور مَشهور

لَما دَعَوت وَسَيف الجور مَشهور

And anguish was lifted from Egypt and her inhabitants

And the distress was relieved from Egypt and its residents

When you prayed, while tyranny's sword was unsheathed.

When you prayed as the sword of injustice appeared

فَأَنشدتك أَمانيها مؤرخة

فَأَنشدتك أَمانيها مؤرخة

وَهبي وحبِّك ذاك الحَج مَبرور

وَهبي وحبِّك ذاك الحَج مَبرور

So her wishes sang to you, marking the date:

So I recite to you its wishes chronicled

Wahbi, by my love for you, that pilgrimage is accepted.

And my love to you, may that pilgrimage be accepted
