محمد سادَ بين العُرب وَالعَجَمِ

محمد سادَ بين العُرب وَالعَجَمِ

بِالعلم وَالحلم وَالمعروف وَالكَرَمِ

بِالعلم وَالحلم وَالمعروف وَالكَرَمِ

Muhammad was preeminent among Arabs and non-Arabs,

Muhammad prevailed among Arabs and non-Arabs

Through knowledge, forbearance, beneficence, and generosity.

With knowledge, forbearance, benevolence and generosity

وَهوَ الأَمير الَّذي طوفان راحته

وَهوَ الأَمير الَّذي طوفان راحته

أَحيا العفاة وَأَغنى سائر الأُمم

أَحيا العفاة وَأَغنى سائر الأُمم

And he is the prince, the flood from whose palm

He is the prince whose overflowing comfort

Revived seekers of bounty and enriched all nations.

Revived the destitute and enriched all nations

وَما إِياسٌ وَقَيسٌ وَاِبن زائِدة

وَما إِياسٌ وَقَيسٌ وَاِبن زائِدة

إِلّا لَديهِ مِن الأتباع وَالخَدَم

إِلّا لَديهِ مِن الأتباع وَالخَدَم

And Iyas, Qays, and Ibn Za'idah are no more

And Iyas, Qais and Ibn Za'idah

Than followers and servants in his presence.

Are but his followers and servants

فَاللَه يُبقيهِ طُول الدَهر في تَرَف

فَاللَه يُبقيهِ طُول الدَهر في تَرَف

وَفي قبول وَإِقبال وَفي نعم

وَفي قبول وَإِقبال وَفي نعم

So may God preserve him for all time in luxury,

So may Allah keep him for ages in luxury

And in favor and prosperity, and amid blessings,

And acceptance, approval and blessings

ما بث مَجدي بِإِخلاص مَدائحه

ما بث مَجدي بِإِخلاص مَدائحه

في دَولة لَم تَزَل مَنشورة العلم

في دَولة لَم تَزَل مَنشورة العلم

As long as Majdi sincerely proclaims his praises

My glory did not cease praising him sincerely

In a state whose banner remains unfurled.

In a state where knowledge has always been hoisted
