May your joyous birthday endure in Egypt.

For you are its mighty ruler, the fortunate king.

And may you live there, revered, as long as you wish,

And attain through providence whatever you desire.

And may you bring a stubborn tyrant's nose to the dust,

With an army guided by sound judgment.

And each year may you display, in honor of noble achievements,

Ceremonies whose return is a festival for the king.

And may you deploy in your fortresses, with dignity,

Troops whom no battle-ready warrior can withstand.

And may the feast be sought amid congratulations

On victory, by the favored and the far-off.

So may they receive honor from you there—

The masters and slaves among the people.
