بنىbuilt جَمعةٌJamʿa فيin مصرEgypt أَيمنَmost blessed مسجدٍa mosque
بنى جَمعةٌ في مصر أَيمنَ مسجدٍ
بِهِin it الخزرجيal-Khazraji بكرBakr المعرّفthe well-known ذوpossessing الحَزمِresolve
بِهِ الخزرجي بكر المعرّف ذو الحَزمِ
Jamʿa built in Egypt the most blessed mosque.
A mosque was built by Gamaa in Egypt, on the right side
Within it is Bakr al-Khazraji, the well-known man of resolve.
By Al-Khazrajhi Bakr Al-Ma'arrif, the determined
وَفيand in دَولةthe reign of اِسماعيلIsmaʿil أَشرَقshone forth نُورُهits light
وَفي دَولة اِسماعيل أَشرَق نُورُه
وَجاءَand it came بِحَمدwith praise to اللَهGod فيin غايةthe utmost النَظمorder
وَجاءَ بِحَمد اللَه في غاية النَظم
And during Ismaʿil’s reign its light shone forth.
And during the reign of Ismail its light shone
And, praise be to God, it emerged in perfect order.
And it came with praise of Allah of the utmost rhythm
وَقَدand indeed قالَsaid مَجديMajdi حينَwhen تمّwas completed مؤرّخاًrecording the date
وَقَد قالَ مَجدي حينَ تمّ مؤرّخاً
سَماrose high جامعa mosque أنشاهhe built it جمعةJamʿa للعلمfor learning
سَما جامع أنشاه جمعة للعلم
And Majdi said, when it was completed, recording its date:
And Majdi has said when dating its completion
High rose a mosque that Jamʿa built for learning.
It is a lofty mosque Gamaa built for knowledge
Sol 6.1
